WHO WE ARE

Empowering and supporting communities across Sri Lanka, Greater Giving is a non-profit initiative that was envisioned in 2018.

We believe each and every human being should have the right to a life of dignity & security. This means a life free from poverty, violence, discrimination, and human right violations.

Greater Giving Sri Lanka has a three-pronged approach to its service in the form of Reach (the community service initiative), Saukhya (the health initiative), and Teach (the educational initiative).

Since its inception, Greater Giving Sri Lanka has grown from strength to strength and consists of a team of over 100 active volunteers.

Our Community Service Initiative is a program aimed at making a positive impact on the communities we serve. Through this initiative, we work to address pressing local needs and improve the quality of life for those in need. From organizing volunteer opportunities and helping those in need, we are dedicated to making a difference where it matters most. Our goal is to create a better future for all by working together with the communities we serve.

EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVE

Our Educational Initiative for underprivileged children across the country is a program aimed at providing equal access to quality education for all. Through this initiative, we strive to level the playing field for disadvantaged children and empower them to reach their full potential. We work to provide educational resources and support, from distributing school supplies and funding scholarships, to offering after-school programs and mentorship opportunities. Our goal is to break down the barriers to education and give every child the tools and support they need to succeed.

HEALTH INITIATIVE

Our Health Initiative for underprivileged families across Sri Lanka is a program aimed at improving access to essential healthcare for all. Through this initiative, we work to address the health needs of disadvantaged families and ensure that no one goes without necessary medical care. We provide medical kits and essential supplies, support local health clinics and hospitals, and offer health education and disease prevention programs. Our goal is to improve the health and well-being of families in need, and to ensure that everyone has access to the care they need to live healthy, fulfilling lives.

Understanding the gravity of the current situation in Sri Lanka, and the economic unrest riding the waves of the COVID-19 pandemic, Greater Giving has been active and persistent in distributing dry ration packs, medical kits and educational supplies to communities that require it.

The current and ongoing economic crisis in Sri Lanka has resulted in multiple families being thrust into uncertainty. They are unable to access basic necessities from food to gas to fuel and more. Recognizing this, Greater Giving is striving to provide these families with dry rations packs and food parcels along with medical kits and educational supplies for children. Our fellow Sri Lankans need your help!

Food Relief
